Inspired by feminine forms and organic shapes found throughout nature, this collection offers a moment of emotion and tranquility that deeply resonates with the viewer. While creating these works, Jordan leaned into raw feelings and glints of memories from her childhood and well into adulthood. By drawing and cutting with a blade, the process of creating was brutal and unforgiving, while in the end fabricating a soft and ethereal composition. The juxtaposition of the two is something that she feels on a cellular level. Soft, yet strong. Bold, but subtle.
Note, these artworks are hand-dyed with tea and the depth of color varies throughout the artwork.
