Howler is a novel biofungicide (Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain AFS009), providing a preventive control of a wide range of soil-borne and foliar diseases in many fruit, vegetable, and field crops. Howler prevents disease through multiple modes of action: producing antibiotics that directly attack pathogens; producing enzymes that break down the cell walls of fungi and prevent attachment of spores to leaves, and inducing plant resistance to inhibit fungal growth.
